We wasters of sorrows!
How we stare away into sad endurance beyond them
trying to foresee their end! Whereas they are nothing else
than our winter foliage, our somber evergreen, one
of the seasons of our interior year, - not only
season-they're also place, settlement, camp, soil, dwelling.
Ever notice how people who are totally self-absorbed & hardly ever miss anything but their own glorious voice never ask permission for that? I don't think you need any permission at all for your grief, or for admitting publicly to it. ~Mary
i just dropped by to give you a few of my "ok to be depressed" cards that i dont need right now. if you end up not using all of them, you could pass them along if a friend of yours falls into a similar bleak hole.
wow: what "frank and mary" said. never really thought about that. i'm surrounded at times with self-absorbed and self-centered people. do they ask for permission? no. so, there: i'm going to give myself permission to FEEL what i'm feeling, and then, let it pass.
